About us
The Taipei Sun takes its name from the historical Taipei Gida in the defunct Taiwan Major League. Gida means sun in Atayal, the language of one of Taiwan’s indigenous peoples. We seek to embody the rich baseball heritage of Taiwan and shine a light on Taiwanese culture and talent alike.
We are a small team of volunteer contributors who are passionate about Taiwanese baseball. We are establishing a content network to feature news and commentary on the CPBL and Taiwanese players abroad, from the majors down through the minors — all in English.
